Baptiste M. Dunia is an international development expert with over 35 years of experience in local economic development, private sector promotion, agro-industrial engineering, and North\u2013South partnerships. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with governments, international organisations, universities, private companies, and NGOs across Africa and Europe to design and implement sustainable socio-economic development initiatives.<\/p>

A graduate chemical engineer specialising in formulation chemistry from ITECH Lyon (France), with a Civil Engineering degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Lubumbashi (DR Congo), he combines strong technical expertise with extensive experience in project management, industrial production, and capacity building.<\/p>

From 2010 to 2021, he served as a Professor and International Consultant at ESCD 3A Lyon (France), supervising Master\u2019s research in International Project Management while teaching development strategies, project financing, and African economic development. Since 2020, he has also been an expert for the International Labour Organisation (ILO), advising on private sector financing and entrepreneurship development.<\/p>

His professional experience includes the development and management of agro-industrial projects in sectors such as detergents, soap manufacturing, cosmetics, sugar processing, dairy production, and food processing. He has provided strategic consulting services for industrial start-ups, SME development, technology transfer, investment promotion, and production optimisation in countries including Rwanda, Tunisia, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Burundi, and S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe.<\/p>

As an academic and development practitioner, Mr Dunia has led numerous initiatives linking European and African institutions. These include university partnerships, vocational education programs, rural water supply projects, agricultural value-chain development, coffee and shea butter export promotion, laboratory establishment, and nutrition programs aimed at reducing rural malnutrition. His work has also supported women\u2019s cooperatives, youth employment, and sustainable local economic growth.<\/p>

He has authored several studies and publications on education, industrial development, vocational training, and private sector financing, and has received recognition for his contributions to African development policy.<\/p>

Fluent in French and English, and proficient in Swahili, Kinyarwanda, and Kirundi, Baptiste M. Dunia has extensive professional experience across Central, West, and North Africa, as well as Europe, enabling him to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.<\/p>
